Growing up in the suburbs of France, I always harbored dreams of a bustling city life—first in Paris, then in the vibrant streets of London.
Journey to London
As time went on, my dreams only grew bigger. After spending my formative years in France, I took a leap of faith and became an au pair in Kent, UK, initially planning for just a year. Little did I know that this decision would shape my path, leading me to spend an incredible EIGHT years in the dynamic city of London.
Discovery of Passion
Living in London was an enriching experience that allowed me to fully immerse myself in a diverse and vibrant culture. It was during this time that I discovered my true passion for journalism.
Challenges and Triumphs
I enrolled in university, eager to pursue my dreams. However, I soon encountered the harsh reality of limited job prospects in the field. Refusing to let setbacks deter me, I secured my first internship at the esteemed BBC and collaborated with several notable PR agencies.
My Journey to Spain - Unexpected Opportunity
Life seemed settled in the UK until an unexpected opportunity beckoned—one that would take me to the sunny shores of Spain. The idea of moving to Spain initially filled me with fear. I did not know Spanish, had no job prospects, and the prospect of starting anew felt daunting. But deep down, I knew that overcoming my fear was the gateway to endless possibilities.
Embracing the Unknown
Taking that leap of faith turned out to be one of the most rewarding decisions of my life. I embraced the unknown and embarked on an exhilarating journey to Barcelona, where I've now called home for five incredible years.
Living in Spain
The beauty, warmth, and vibrant culture of Spain have stolen my heart. Living in Barcelona has afforded me the opportunity to relish in the rich Spanish lifestyle, immerse myself in local traditions, and explore the breathtaking landscapes of this captivating country. From indulging in mouthwatering tapas to reveling in the energy of lively fiestas, Spain has truly become my second home.
